Bryn-y-Castell (Castle Hill) is a craggy outcrop of rock overlooking the town and train station yard. At its summit are the ruins of Castell Rhyfedd and a chapel. Further down the hill is Fferm Ar Hap, accessed via a rough track from
the town.
